WORKSHOPS WITH CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS
06/2019
Survival Kit for an Alien, Event Technovation, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona
The workshop aimed to use technology as a vehicle to reflect upon and understand the position, needs and emotions of another and to foster the ability to show empathy with other living beings. Throughout the workshop, the participants designed and created objects for a survival kit for an alien that comes to our planet. They developed then an interactive story around these objects experimenting with conductivity, Scratch and Makey Makey.

Makers a les Aules, different primary schools in Barcelona
The activity forms part of the program María de Maeztu organised by the Department of Information and Communication Technologies, Universitat Pompeu Fabra and the collaboration of Barcelona Activa of the City Council. My role was to provide support for teachers from different school in Barcelona (Escuela Sant Marti, Escuela Castella, Escuela Drassanes) in STEAM related activities. Specifically, I introduced teachers to the methodology of design thinking using 3D printing technology.
